Tis Warm

I can’t stop listening to Tinchy Stryder’s new song “In My System”. Such a good song.
Took Claire to see Toy Story 3 tonight which was really really well done. I now understand the whole “It will be the end of your childhood” talk and I did find it quite sad. Poor kids in the cinema started crying, mostly at that scary doll though.

So Delamont was packed out last night. Group of us went up to the Millenium Stone to get a better view. We saw a good 25 shooting stars then left as it was FREEZING!

Meteor Shower
Heading to Delamont tonight if anyone is interested in watching the meteor shower. I really hope the clouds clear from the skies. It also appears an organisation is arranging for a late night bbq down there so I think it might be quite packed. I started with my SG a while ago, took the pickups out for a clean and put new strings on which made the guitar feel brand new. My acoustic however was a bitch and a half to fix up. Well looks like it is the start of spider season. My house seems covered in them and I hate it. Not too sure why I hate spiders so much though, just one of those things I really can’t stand.

I can not believe they are using “Gold Lion” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for their Ipad advert. This makes me feel like they have got my Spotify playlist as I have had this song on continuously for the last few weeks. I nearly fell off my chair when I heard it on tv, especially since I really am very anti-mac.

Very clean car! We got a new hose but it came without the correct piping so I had to cut part off (as you needed two pipes) and fitted them myself. Then completely soaked myself as the pressure built up too much at the tap ¬_¬ It is great to finally have a working hose and it did a great job but I spent longer cleaning the dirt of my driveway than I did on the actual car.

Too many bags
Word of advice, don’t leave packing to the last minute! Completely emptying a room is not a simple task, it takes a good 6 hours. Now I just need to run a vaccum over my floor and clean the dust….and do a production file for uni tomorrow then I’m heading home.
Throwing out two black bags of crap. Got 5 black bags full of clothes, a suitcase, a guitar case and some smaller...

Just 1 more essay and a production file to go and I’m done. Started packing too as there is a lot to sort out, but it feels weird because it still feels like last week that I was arriving at my halls.
Cubase 5 looks amazing. Studying it next year and from what I can see it is really impressive. I also study PA systems and the use of speakers =D I wish I could put the module guide up here...

It took me two weeks and some help from Mr Lukey himself but I FINALLY have a video I can edit sound to on my laptop! Damn funny formats. It ended up I had to take the sound from one file and put it over the second video which had no sound. Then export that as an .avi so I can load it into Sonar. (Is there anything Sonar can not do?! Best software ever).

It was about 17-20 degrees outside today. I’m completely burnt on my neck and arms =[ It is also meant to get warmer, which I don’t mind, just didn’t think I’d be needing sun cream in Sunderland.
I need to start eating the rest of my food before I leave, meaning dinner for the next week will consist of noodles and beans on toast. Damn my lack of biscuits at the minute!

Had a reflection on my sound story coursework and concluded that in all honesty, it sucked. So I did it again, better this time and I think I should get higher marks for it now.
Last time I ever clean that kitchen. We have property inspections on Tuesday so I washed all the dishes but they are all back in the kitchen looking even more dirtier than before.

She handed in her essays and then we went out for lunch and got a carvery dinner with ham, roast potatoes, mash, peas and gravy with a yorkshire pudding, and because there was only two of us it only cost us £8 in total. Fire alarms are not fun, but when someone is in the bath whilst one goes off and has to come wait outside soaking wet in the first clothes they could grab, it is a little bit funny.

Things I did today =O
1. Woke up from a crazy dream involving sandwiches.
2. Went to the studio and found a cardboard box filled with 8 cubase boxes (each worth probably about £600).
3. Did some coursework and made some dance loops.
4. Opened my laptop and cleaned the fan so it doesn’t sound like a plane taking off.
And now I’m thinking less coursework, maybe tidy room or play Left 4 Dead. Tough choice.
