But, last question:
Squareroot (positive 90) = 9.48683298 Which I can work out on my calulator
But when I go to put:
Squareroot (negative 90) I get Math Error
Any idea why that is? Thanks for your help though
I need help from anyone who can do math?
I am trying to convert -3-j9 from rectangular to polar format.
So I know I do this in two steps. For the first part I need to find the square root of -3-j9 so I add:
-3(squared) and -9 (squared) giving me a whole number to be squared. In this case it is -90 but when I go to find the square root of -90 I get “calucation error” everytime it is a negative number, anyone help?
Edit: I thiiiink I ignore the negative symbols and just treat them as positive. Bah I don’t know :/
I had another meeting about my course a few hours ago. We got given three choices:
1. Shut up, suck it up and keep your head down cause we are fed up with you lot complaining.
2. Next September start studying “Combined Studies”
3. Go to Gateshead college (which is still a uni course) and study a 2 year foundation course, then have a top up year to make it a degree.
I think I’m going for number 3 but either way, I want my money back on this wasted year.
Also the woman kept arguing that Sound and Music Technology is about how computers work. If we wanted to do recording then we should have picked a Performing Music course. If you ask me what sound and music technology is, I’d tell you everytime it is studio production in which you do recording, mixing and mastering. Amazing how 6 of us wouldn’t have picked the course if we knew it was based on computing but still they claim we were told. I feel a bit f-ed over :/
Just 4 days then I’m away. I can do this. Can’t wait to be sitting in my livingroom relaxing. Home for a whole month. Yay!

Vixs speaks the truth. I’m home next week. Next Thursday to be more spot on and I am very glad to be getting away from here for a decent nights sleep. People below me watched LOTR the first movie after waking me up with their sub blasting music from 4 until about 6ish, then when I heard the start up music for the second film I raged. Now they’ll sleep til 6-7 in the day and repeat last night. Home for a month. Thank goodness.
Victoria, sorry again I changed flights, but getting to the airport is eassssy! All you do is get a bus from that bus depot, the purple bus, to Sunderland (Park Lane) which is Sunderland’s main bus centre. Look for the big yellow “M” which means metro station, buy a 3 zone ticket to airport and the airport is the very last stop. The metro will say over a speaker “The next train at platform one is for, airport” :] See you at home really soon!
Had to get up at 5 after someone came in screaming and shouting. Breaking part of the kitchen too and now I’ve slept til like 2:15-ish :/ I feel like Loz.
Vixs, I too was worried about the tree going up before I got home! I love the smell of the fir tree and that is what signals to me that xmas has arrived but I don’t think my parents will wait, they normally have it up about a week before my b-day. Claire’s mum however is leaving a tree to be decorated when I’m back haha
Edit: Claire is also baking :/ which I hate when I am away from home cause I’d offer to “help” and end up sitting there making snarky comments at her baking and then end up eating whatever she made. Missing out on brownies now!
The next few hours. As I will try to sleep and two people will come in, blast their music and wake me up. I think these “10 pound all you can drink” offers are discusting.
